Biohacking & Performance Optimization
What is the use of biohacking and performance optimization? I'll show you what matters and how you can start the day better, no matter your mood.
Hi everyone!
Ice baths, 5 am club, network marketing supplements, whatโs the use?
Many have now acquired ice baths, which apparently changed their lives.
When we start doing something new, we are often motivated and euphoric.
Of course, trying something new is great, but many people immediately see it as the holy grail.
Letโs dive in๐

๐ Routine: My foundation
๐ง Biohacking
Biohacking is the definition of an optimized lifestyle. This means completely exploiting the potential of the body and mind.
To improve, for example:
sleep
exercise
Nutrition
relaxation
personal well-being.
For example, a lot of you might know Wim Hof, who bathes in ice and meditates in snow:

In addition, many great YT channels have been built on the subject.
Of course, there is also a lot of money flowing in this area. In network marketing, a lot is done with supplements, so there is a different motivation.
What do you want in optimization in the first place?
For example, I want to get focus, dopamine, and attention throughout the day.
I want to happily create something that gets me where I want to go.

Morning Routine
Many people get up in the morning, and somehow they don't feel so good today. Somehow in a bad mood, you can't get out of bed, insufficient sleep, or something like that.
Everybody knows that.
Some still go to the cell phone and see only the stress.
If your first thought in the morning is, "I'm sleepy and won't get much done today."
Then you base your whole day around that. Your mood should not determine how your day goes or whether you had a bad dream.
The foundation is the morning and evening routine. Take an hour in the morning.
You are set the same every day, at least on that one part of the day.
If you determine your day according to how you are on it, you can forget it entirely.
Put it out of your mind in the morning.
The mood is completely irrelevant, of course, it is sometimes good, sometimes bad, but in the end, the morning routine takes care of it.
โฐ 5 am Club
All successful people get up early to accomplish something that others cannot. That is the definition.
In principle, I am in favor of this, as the name of my newsletter says.
But many people get it wrong and sleep only from 0 to 4 am, for example, because they go to bed late in the evening.
Of course, this doesn't help if you go through the day with only 50% energy.
A fixed time at which you get up is tricky; if you can allow yourself, then let your body take the sleep it needs, whether 6 hours or 7-8h.
5 am club is all well and good but then sleep at 10 pm. Only then do you have enough power to be creative.
It doesn't help you to make a hook on it and then go half-empty through the day. Rather sleep a little more and have more energy.
โ๏ธ Ice bathing
Many do not do this to optimize anything but to bathe in ice.
Ice bathing should give you energy, and you should not put your focus on that; that should not be your biggest goal.
Wim Hof gives seminars and sells coaching and makes money with it. But you should get energy from that and not put your focus on that.
๐ Routine: My foundation
Wake up, and make your routine. Otherwise, you will give in to your feelings and spend your day according to them.
The routine ensures that you have at least one good level every day.
The first thing you do should be something other than reading the news or scrolling through TikTok.
You are giving up your control.
In the morning, the first thing is to get dopamine and focus.
When you get up, cortisol, the stress hormone, is released when you open your eyes and realize you are there.
When that happens, it's best to get up right away.
"If you snooze, you lose."
Otherwise, it would be sleep-cortisol-sleep-cortisol.
If you do that a lot, go to sleep earlier or set your alarm right later.
I want to start the day in a structured way.
I want to make green hooks in the head:
โ Make bed
โ Meditate & Journal
โ Breakfast
โ Bathroom hygiene
This is a dopamine system for me.
Consciousness must be trained constantly; you don't always have it.
Where am I?
What am I doing here?
What just happened?
You can trigger that in any situation.
For example, you control the consciousness, that this and that before the cell phone.
Many also recommend not to eat directly; you haven't done anything yet, and when you digest, you get tired again.
Why is control so important
It is also recommended not to drink coffee in the first hour.
The cortisol makes already; it can be that you become only nervous with coffee then, or it brings nothing.
For example, the change that occurs with coffee should always remain a change.
I want to use these purposefully and not simply so briefly a coffee down the drink; it is nothing special.
So, I start the day with my routine.
After that, you should first do the most challenging thing, called "eat the frog," which rereleases dopamine.
You then don't think all day, ", Later, I have to do this."
What also helps is to set a daily goal. The problem is that the dopamine is only released then.
Therefore, it is better to make minor dopamine releases during the day to be able to perform.
You usually want to achieve less in the evening and are without dopamine during the day.
Do you control your dopamine output, or do social media pop-ups guide you?
If yes, a dopamine detox can help you; I have just done a challenge, and these are my results:
So I get up directly, do the morning routine, and am entirely ready for the day.
Try to turn on the smartphone only after completing your first tasks. It's tough.
But believe me, you won't miss anything even if you feel like it. Try it.
If you do all the unpleasant tasks at the beginning, you will have only the fun tasks in the evening.
This can definitely help.
Biohacking or fitness should use as little energy as possible to keep your focus on where you want to go and optimize.
I hope you learned something new today.
